During the late 19th century city directories sometimes included vital records in their listings. That was true of several Connecticut cities as well. Inside the Godfrey Collection of the Godfrey Scholar program, the library has recently added the vital records sections of the following city directories: Middletown-Portland 1887-1897, Hartford 1890-1891, Winsted-Torrington 1890-1891. The library has also included the entire Hartford City Directory for 1848.
